Does a Cancer Care Doula work with my medical cancer care team?

As a Cancer Care Doula I am an independent service provider, separate from your medical team. My role is to offer support, care, and various non-medical services to individuals facing cancer.

Why would I need a Cancer Care Doula when I have a medical cancer team?

As a Cancer Care Doula I focus solely on emotional support and I do not handle medical matters. I am here to offer uninterrupted support to both the patient and their family. Dealing with a cancer diagnosis can be extremely overwhelming, but as a Cancer Care Doula I am available to assist in organizing and managing the overwhelming amount of information shared by the medical team.

What exactly will a Cancer Care Doula do for me?

My role as a Cancer Care Doula is to empower patients and their families, helping them foster a supportive and nurturing environment while navigating through cancer. I offer a safe space to listen and assist in processing the journey, offering emotional support, presence, reassurance, and valuable information.

How do I find out if a Cancer Care Doula is right for me?

You can schedule a complimentary consultation to determine if these services are suitable for you. It's a great chance for us to connect and understand if you could benefit from the additional support during your cancer journey. We can arrange this either in person or through an online visit.

Do you provide Cancer Care Doula's for palliative cancer patients?

Not at this time. 

Do I receive a refund for a cancelled booking?

Unfortunately, all cancelled bookings are non-refundable. I understand that circumstances can change, so if you need to modify your booking, kindly get in touch with me at cancercaredoula@gmail.com. I will be more than happy to assist you in accommodating your booking change request.
